How to tell if my chicks are male or female???We bought our chicks about 2 weeks ago. My son wanted the "tiny" one so there is already a size difference between the two chicks. The comb on the bigger white one had grown much faster and I'm worried that it may be a rooster ( we are not allowed to have roosters in our city). I don't want my kids to get too attached if it may be a rooster, can anyone tell me what they think???

It's really hard almost impossible to tell gender before they are well grown. Some people say you can look at the shape of the egg, shape of wing feathers, or extent of comb growing. I'm not an expert but that chick looks pretty young to be growing a comb so fast if it was a female. I'd go with male but like I said you can't really tell till later on.

Thank you so much for your help, I think I may take them to the feed store and see what they think.
