Hey been looking on the website for a while new and signed up today kept chickens in the garden at home for 3 years now love them. Rescued 9 that was dumped in a park few years ago never looked back. Got my first chick this year after was given some eggs by a friend stuck them under the broody hen and 1 hatched. It’s 3 weeks now she’s not old enough yet to be sexed but what age should I put a picture of her up to determine what sex it is? If it’s a cockerel unfortunately not able to keep so need a few bits of advice for sexing them. Any advice is much appreciated and look forward to reading on more :) thanks J

Hello and welcome to BYC. I hope that you enjoy your time here. At 8 weeks peeps should have a good idea on gender. Post your pic on this forum - Breed / Gender I.D.

This is a useful link to take a look at - “How to...” guides. You may wish to consider including your location (using the guide in the link above). You can use this link to contact members in your area - U.S. States, UK, Europe, Australia, Canada (for other countries, check here - Where am I? Where are you!)
