Hello, We are from Tushka, OKlahoma, we just started raising chickens last year. We have about 55 at this time. Several different breeds..RIR, Silver Lace Wyandotte, and just bought several chicks I think they are called Mountain Buff...they are a golden color and supposed to be very good layers.
My husband and I are retired, but as everyone has told us, we work harder now than ever. We have a small farm 40 acres, my husband keeps busy with running the farm and he also raises and trains Border Collies. I stay busy with our large yard, I have flowers everywhere and a small home embroidery business, and of course the chickens, which I have come to really enjoy!
I am glad to have found this site, I am sure there will be a lot of questions in the future.
