That's what stinks his chickens free range on my propery that's why I'm afraid of letting mine free range I think they would just follow them at nite outta my yard.

That's what stinks his chickens free range on my propery that's why I'm afraid of letting mine free range I think they would just follow them at nite outta my yard.

If they've been raised and have been laying eggs in their own coop, I have a VERY strong suspicion your chickens would come home to their own coop to roost at night.

You can start out close to home, just let them out to range freely about 30 minutes before their usual "put themselves to roost" time for a few days, then the following week let them out earlier .... and earlier each week until they're outside all day. The more they have the habit of coming back into their own coop at night, the more likely it is they will continue to do so once they are allowed to range freely on your property.
