Hi My name is Jene Bean :) Feel like I am in the 5th grade and moving for the umpteenth time and having to introduce myself. My partner Glen and I live off grid in Central Fraser Canyon in Beautiful British Columbia. We enjoy living off the land and raising a little bit of our own meat and produce. We have turkeys, peafowl, pheasants, chickens (many heritage varieties), goats, dogs and cats. We have a huge garden and we also are attempting to create a large enough fruit tree garden to be self-sufficient and until that day we trade with friends who have items we need or want to eat if its organically grown. We have seven children and 5 grandchildren as well as take in young people who are having difficulties at home or in family breakdowns. We have an extremely busy lifestyle! We have no electricity and we like it that way!! It is wonderful working from dawn til dusk doing as we enjoy not forced to do a job we hate! In our slow time (many laugh) we teach ceremonial rites of passage, Medicine Wheel Teachings, Return to the land retreats, etc. We are both First Nations but of mixed ancestry. In the winter months we tan hides, make moccasins and other clothing as well as arts and crafts by request. Look forward to meeting others and learning with you or from you.

In Spirit,
Gax La Gee lax aka Jene Bean

Ah....you are playing the strings of my heart! To be a Raven and fly to the land of using no electricity and living off the land!! You are living a very honorable life. Much respect to you.

Great to have you aboard and may you always find joy in the path you walk.

Many Thanks! Yes we believe we are blessed and would not trade our life for a city life, that is certain :) Thank-you for the welcoming. Look forward to sharing moments online.
