Just started raising 3 chickens in my backyard in the San Fernando Valley ... picked them up "coop ready" after we purchased a coop and enjoying them very much! Even drove almost 2 hours up to Lompoc to pick out our feathered friends (got 1 buff orpington, 1 barred rock, and 1 golden sexlink). Never knew chickens could have so much personality!!!! Still trying to figure out how best to keep their feeders clean but learning the tricks little by little.

Yes, chickens have a lot of personality and can be very affectionate as well!! Go sit with them every day on the floor with them and before you know it, you have a bunch of lap babies! I can't sit anywhere without a chicken wanting on my lap. Ha!
