I am retired and moved to a smaller place. I have had chickens most of my life except for the last eighteen years. When I was young one of my jobs was to feed and water the chickens, my sisters gathered the eggs. I recently acquired nine hens and a rooster, Barred rock, Rhode island red, Buff, Delaware, Leg bar, true Blue, and aracaunas. Rooster is a speckled Sussex. I get pink, brown, green, blue and tan eggs. They give me something to do to keep me off the streets and out of the pool halls. :-) The Delaware had voted herself coop boss.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
