Hi. I have visited BackYardChickens quite a bit in the last year and have learned much from many. I recently met a very nice woman who introduced herself as being from BackYardChickens at the Milford, NH chicken swap (wish I could remember your name, sorry!). She studied my birds quite a bit and was genuinely concerned about their well being before purchasing 3 of my oddball chicks. I thought if she represents what the members of BackYardchickens is about, then I want in. So, here I am along with my 12 year old daughter (and husband, not so much) actively involved in our local 4-H with our 30+ Silkies, Cochins, Sebrights and many other chickens along with our rabbits, cavies and Nigerian dwarf goats, not forgetting our 4 dogs and 6 Java Rice Finches. Whew, that was a mouthful! We look forward to swapping stories and gleening insight/information from all of you poultry lovers.
