My name is Rose. I am a new member to BackyardChickens. I have had chickens for the last 7 years. We only had a few at a time but have moved and now have 25. They are different breeds. I have 6 silkies, 4 Easter eggers that were sold as Ameraucanas, 4 French black copper marans, 2 porcelain booted bantams, 2 salmon faverolles, 1 crested cream legbar, 2 blue orpingtons and 4 true Ameraucanas.
The Easter eggers are supposed to be pullets but after lurking around here for awhile I am not sure. This is the reason I joined.
I love to stamp and scrapbook when I have the time. I have 10 kids and my husband is in the Army.
I keep chickens for the eggs and love different egg colors. My favorite breed is the Ameracauna because of their egg laying colors but I love many different breeds.
I live in Maryland and enjoy having my chickens.
