New to being a chicken keeper

My babies. .ok my chickens are looking brilliant today...eating well too fed them rice and scrambled egg as treat with their laying pellets hopefully will build them up especially with this horrible weather.
 
I discovered 1 of my chickens dead this week..looked like a prolapse as it was hanging out of stomach... tonight discovered another dead chicken...checked her out looks like shed been straining from the backside as it looked swollen and bit bloody...is this common??? And should i be worried
