Welcome to BYC Former East Texan transplant. We lived off HWY 58. The neighborhood we lived didn't allow chickens, but I know one of the residents had some really quiet ones. Heard a very quiet, weak crow a few times in my walks, but they had a totally fenced in yard. I have a few breeds that are quiet. ISA Browns, Golden Comets (Both fantastic egg layers) and Welsummers (approx. Lay 4 per week). Although the egg song can be quite loud, proud moments for all the girls.
