Hatching
Hi everyone!
I have been doing some research on button quail and I am absolutely determined to attain some. I have never owned any sort of poultry before but I do have experience with hamsters so I have a 40 gallon breeder tank which as I have gathered would be a suitable home for two buttons. I can't keep my quail outside as I live in Wisconsin so if I were to get more quail can I use bin cages or any other diys?
1. For now I am only interested in them as pets but I might be interested in breeding them in the future. I know they lay clutches of around 6-8 eggs so obviously I can't keep them all. How would I sell them?
2.Also, to start with I would like to female buttons. Would it be ok to have them live together as I don't want baby buttons but I know that these quail aren't solitary animals.
3.Where can I buy food and substrate by the bulk?
4. And finally are there just any tips in general? I would love to hear your feedback
