Hello
and Welcome To BYC! There are several articles in the Learning Center on broody hens you might like to check out https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-and-raising-chicks there are also several long threads on broody hens and using them to hatch eggs you might want to join https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ody-hen-hatch-a-long-and-informational-thread and https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/496101/broody-hen-thread
If you have room ... I like to separate broodys into their own cage... one thing is that other hens will lay their eggs in the same nest as the broody, so you have to keep taking those out, and especially it is not good if the chicks start hatching and you have squabbles and other hens trampling them... but I try to keep the broody and nest in with the other chickens (ie in the coop) until the chicks are a week or so old and then let them run with the flock, that way the broody and the chicks naturally integrate with the flock .. usually the broody/chicks will just keep going back into the nest/cage for a few weeks, and then the hen will eventually just go back to roosting with the flock and take the chicks along.
You might try asking on the UK threads about British Araucana...
