Hi everyone!

I've been on the forum for a few weeks now but just found this today! Just wanted to say hello! :) I'm new to having chickens. I have a small flock I started about 6 months ago when I incubated some easter eggers. They are all laying now. I gave away 3 roosters and kept my favourite and have since been given two more hens of unknown breed. They like to hang out together. I'm loving the experience of it all and get between 4-6 eggs a day, ranging from blue, green, white and brown. My goal is to have a colourful clutch of eggs each day, so I'll probably try breeding a bit of my own to see what they lay. :) I'm an American from Wisconsin but moved to NZ two years ago. I love it here and am staying as I just got married two months ago. Anyway, this is a great site and I hope to get to know people better as it goes on.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Congratulations on your marriage. Australia seems like it would be a wonderful place to live. It's one of my dream vacations. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite chickens. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
