new to BYC and chicken raising...out of idaho

Hello everyone my name is ryan I live in the treasure valley of idaho where I attend boise state full time and have a son and beautiful companion. I am planning to add chickens to the family this coming summer once I have a coop and feel the weather is better or I feel safe with their housing for the winter weather. I look forward to the replies and can't wait to get started.
