New to BYC and chickens

If you keep them all you will need a bigger coop. Yours is 4 x 8 = 32 square feet. For 8 grown chickens you need 5 sq.feet per bird or 40 sq.feet total in coop. Allow 10 sq.feet per bird in the outdoor run. You are big enough with that.

It always helps to go bigger, crowded chickens get very irritated and end up feather picking, or fighting or even cannibalism . Besides once you have chickens you will want more, I can practically guarantee it. Welcome to the flock.
