New to BYC and keeping chickens

Hi, I grew up around chickens as my grandmother always kept a flock, but I now have my own! I acquired my first two birds by chance as they wandered into my yard and I couldn't locate their owner. Recently I purchased four pullets and am learning lots and enjoying the process.
I am a teacher in Georgia who loves gardening, backyard bird watching, hiking and camping.
I stumbled onto BYC while seeking information since I no longer have a local source to ask. I have enjoyed reading articles, forums and looking at pictures. Thanks for this resource!
