Hello everyone! I'm so new I don't even HAVE chickens yet! I'm in the planning and construction phase and don't want to purchase any chicks until I KNOW I have a place for them to live. Whew....there is a LOT to know before you get into this keeping chickens thing. I love reading it all and I really want my own chickens but sometimes I get overwhelmed and wonder...
WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING? YOU CAN'T DO THIS! YOU'LL KILL THOSE POOR THINGS!

Does anyone else feel like that at the beginning or am I just paranoid?

Oh, no! You misunderstand! Not kill them on purpose...just from not knowing what the heck I'm doing and feeding them the wrong thing or something else stupid.
