New to BYC and new to Chickens

Welcome to BYC. I am fairly new to this site, too. I have found a couple of threads I really enjoy. They are: Growing Fodder for Chickens and Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds. I wouldn't suggest starting with too many things at once. However, I really do think the chickens are happier eating fermented feed and not just because of the alcohol. They don't have runny poop and they clean every last bit of it up. My chickens waste nothing when it comes to fermented feed.

you are doing the right thing, just take your time and build it. Then your little darlings will be happy as they can be in their new home.
