New to BYC and to raising chickens

We've always waneed to do this and now have grandchildren who we want to share this with. We just put up the new coop with assistance from a friend and now looking for a reputable place to take two of the grandkids to, to pick out 2 possibly 3 pullets in the Puyallup area. Do you have any idea what breed(s) you want? Will they be strictly for pets, layers, lawn decorations or ??? Please check out the Learning Center, it's the best place to start a poultry education.
