Hi! I'm new to BYC but not chickens or poultry in general, and super excited to be here! I started with chickens eight or so years ago (all sorts of different breeds, with a focus on bantams) and really found my passion with Coturnix quail the last few years. (Meet Mrs. Lady and Kringle below)
I have a huge passion for genetics and actually put together one of the largest and most accurate databases for quail genes currently created on my website. It's been pretty cool, I had a lot of help and met some amazing people through it!

I am at college studying to be an Agricultural Engineer by trade- My goal is to design equipment and tools for farmers (specifically chicken peeps
). I've already got some projects in the works with my University. In my previous life (i.e. the last two years) I've gotten to work on some pretty amazing things, including a NASA satellite and Solar Death Ray, so I'm really excited to see what we can cook up for chickens.
All in all, I'm on here to have fun, learn something everyday, and hopefully see some cute chicken pics!
