Yeah!! I've arrived!! I've been watching my DH have all the fun on BYC for over a year, so I decided to join myself. So happy to be here, but definitely a newbie.
We got 26 Rhode Island Reds last June, which is before we started our coop! LOL. Chickens were popping out of their boxes when the coop finally got done in August. And we've become chicken crazy! We hand-fed our little dears when they came, and enjoy the rapport we share with them. We butchered our first un-needed roos this year, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
Looking forward to learning from the old-timers.
