New to BYC. Florida!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

So sorry about your hatch. :hugs Lots of reasons for the poor hatch rate from the genetics of the parents, how the eggs were shipped, how they were stored before setting, incubation issues and of course this time of year fertility can play a part in hatchability. Best wishes with future hatches!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC Kimberly. :frow

Never give up because of a bad hatch. You'll do better each time. :hugs

Be sure to verify the temp/humidity your incubator says with an independent hygrometer/thermometer, as they are rarely ever correct. I like the Govee brand and get them on Amazon pretty reasonably.

Yes definitely, so many things affect it. Now my biggest challenge is overcoming these guys growing stuck to the side of the shell..instead of with an air pocket on the end. I let them rest 24 hours after they arrived but it still happens this time. Going to search the forums and see if anyone has any tips or tricks 😁
