Hi all!
Just wanted to introduce our farm as a new member. We are Leaning Trees Farm. We started a chicken flock in August of 2011 and we also raise sheep.
Our current bird count is 11 - 10 hens and 1 rooster. We have 2 Cinnamon Queens, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Ameracauna, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Gold Wyandottes, 1 Silver Wyandotte, 1 Salmon Faverolle and a crazy Gold Wyandotte Bante Rooster. We are really enjoying our flock and learn something new about them and their habits everyday. We have three children and they love having chickens that free range all over the place - like our front porch, pecking on our windows.;-) Have to put a plug in for our "chicken lady". We get all of our chickens from Poultry Hollow Hatchery. They are wonderful folks and the nicest to deal with. Very knowledgeable with breeds as well as troubleshooting. So if you live in the area, you should check them out. www.poultryhollow.org. They do several deliveries in the State as well.
So that's our little story. Just thought we would introduce ourselves to the community. We are always seeking advice about animals and thought it might be nice to be to chat with others.
Have a wonderful day!
