New to BYC From small town in Missouri

We have thought about getting meat birds too, but not enough space at this point. I have to move my chickens within the next month or 2, so we will probably wait until spring 2014 to get them.
Curious about what part of Missouri you are in.....my DH grew up in a small town in north eastern.....right on the river. I spent several years there.....beautiful country, but the summers were sweltering, and the winters freezing

I couldn't take it, tooo extreme, but really beautiful country!!
