We've been raising chickens for over 15 years, but want to go to the next level, coop/run building, predator evasion and healthier, happier flock.
Just purchased 10 new chicks end of June, 3 Australorps, 3 Black and 3 Golden Sex Links and one black one that I can't remember her breed. They join the very diverse original 10 of bantams, Reds and an Easter Egger and Olive Egger. (2 bantam roosters too).
Have hawks, skunks and coyotes to protect from, lost a bantam with her newly hatched 4 chicks to a hawk last year :-(
Just made a no mess feeder from a post on BYC, going it works well.
