New to BYC... Love this place! Learning lots with lots more to learn!

This is my first post on BYC! I admit, I've been reading and learning for many months though! I finally got my coop built and now, thanks to chicken math, have not 10 but 16 chickens!

6 are just over three months old. (2 BOs, 4 EEs) and ten youngsters of only 5 weeks (2 light brahmas, 2 buff brahmas, 2 blue Cochins, 2 GLW, 2 partridge silkies)

I'm hoping to figure out the forum stuff to help with sexing my silkies and now... Surprise! I strongly believe one of my light brahmas ia a little roo!

Once I figure out how to post my pics, all help would be greatly appreciated! Excited to be here!

! Sounds like you got a case of chicken math right away! You're in good company here.

Don't have any myself, but have heard Silkies and Brahmas are harder to sex than other breeds, but there are lots of knowledgeable folks. There is a thread just for Silkies and I'm sure there's one for Brahmas too.

There is help under the "Forum" tab. Forum Information and FAQs Somewhere there is info about posting pics.

That's nice that you've got a roo. Silkies are hard ones to sex. You might have to wait till he starts crowing to be 100% sure.
