New to BYC - need a coopmate for my one lovely leghorn

Hello to all MA chicken lovers. We live in central/western MA and are new to having a chicken. She dropped out of the sky six weeks ago and decided to make our acre her home. She's a part of the family already! Whoever knew a chicken has a personality?!! Many of you have advised to get her a buddy, both for company and winter warmth, so I'm asking you all if anyone can help us out on this. I'm new to this whole thing and don't know protocol, etc. Hoping to hear from you and thanks very much.

Another bird sounds like a good idea as company for your leghorn. Have you tried posting in your state's thread yet? That might help you find what you're looking for.
