new to BYC need help

    They're both pullets.

    As to breed, not positive. Would need more info on where they came from, are they mixed?

    They are my first chickens and I got them from a woman with way too many so mixed would be my guess... with what don't know.

    I think you may have Easter-Egger crosses of some sort. One of my EEs looks a great deal like your second pic, the other may have some Barred Rock or Dominique genetics as well. I've got a variety of breeds, and my EEs are my friendly treat-hounds! Be interested what color eggs when they start laying!!

    They grey one has started laying down a bit today. Don't know what squatting looks like but it seems early.
