New to BYC - no chickens yet - 4 ducks

Hello. I don’t have any chickens yet but I do have 4 ducks. The females just starting laying eggs yesterday- today I see they have covered the best with pine shavings - wondering if that is to keep them cool?

Then they're probably not going to go broody. Do you have the eggs to eat? or are you incubating?

You may want to think about separating out one of the drakes during breeding season. Drakes can be really brutal towards ducks. I never want a 1:1 ratio.

the two Drakes are best buddies. They are with each other all time time. Would it be wrong to separate them?!
