new to BYC want to start free range chicken

I want to start free range chicken in iloilo city, where can i find a breed which i can start with. My wife started her backyard chicken raising of 45 days old.

I free-range my Barr rock chickens, they took to it great. However most birds will, they naturally want to hunt and peck for food, so it is easy to entice them out. if you live in town, you may want to check up on your local ordinances, however I find a rooster to be invaluable for freeranging hens. He protects them and keeps them togeather. But if a rooster is not allowed, an enclosed yard should be enough.
