I've been reading through the posts in the Ducks area and have already picked up some helpful ideas. I live in Washington, up near the border w/British Columbia. Yes, we have all that great weather "for ducks"

The 4 ducklings have been with me four almost 3 weeks and we are adapting. The two cats are a bit curious but mostly bored. I have a heavy screen over the top of their temporary home just to be sure. A neighbor is helping to build a coop and fence panels so they should be able to go outside as soon as they are feathered out. I've never done this before, so have lots and lots of questions which I'll bring up over at the Duck Forum. My main concern right now is hoping that, out of the four ducklings, there are at least two females since my two main reasons for starting this adventuire was the prospect of those wonderful eggs and that they will help cut down the damage to my veggie gardens from those omnipresent PNW slugs! I sure like the looks and feeling of this forum and look forward to knowing at least some of you better.
