Hi I'm lvemychicks. I live in briggsville wisconsin. First time raising chickens. Absolutely love them. My husband raised chickens. I have white leghorn chicks and brown chicks. Not sure what the brown ones are? Some are a mix of brown and white and then I have one that is almost all brown. My 10year old daughter wanted to have some chickens around to have some eggs. But who kneq. they are wonderful. Better than my dogs. And so docile. Thanks lvemychicks

Yes, chickens are wonderful. I love having them around. They get me on my feet in the morning, force me off the couch in the afternoon and let me get that last bit of energy out before night (all good things, even if I don't want to stand up its good for me and I enjoy it). They're always there if I just want to take a walk, and they come running when they see me coming.

I have a question. I have leghorns and brown chicks. Have them separated for about two weeks. They are about 2 weeks apart from when I got them. The browns are smaller than the leghorn. When can I put them together? they are side by side of each other right now through the pens we have set up in. And how do I introduce them? Thanks

If they have been seeing one another for a while, introducing them should be fairly easy. Just make sure they plenty of space, multiple feeders and waterers, and keep an eye out for any bullying. I think that younger chickens take to one another better than older ones do, but I'm not certain, as I have done lots of introductions of different aged chicks.
