Here are a couple pictures of my flock

Hi Gita, do I see a couple of roos in that flock? What's your ratio of ladies to gents? I'm faced with 2 boys in a small flock of 5 and am trying to figure out what to do! Thank you :) And welcome, Foster! I'm new myself, as of today, in fact :)

I've got a pretty big flock, around 60 birds or so, and right now I have five adult roosters. In that photo you may see a few more, as earlier this year I had three new rosters to introduce new genetics into the flock. My main roosters are all pets (two silkies, a barred rock and an OEG bantam), but I introduce new roosters to breed with their daughters to prevent inbreeding and to add more colors. Its always fun to get new colors.

I only have more more adult rooster we are going to get rid of, since he passed on his genetics and bullies the silkie roos.

Rehoming roosters can be difficult, but you could try it. A lot of people would like a friendly rooster to help guard free ranging hens.

Oof, that's a lot of birds! I'd like to keep them both, and right now they're snuggle buddies, but they're still babies at 13 weeks, so we'll see. Thanks for your reply!

Some of my roosters get along (My two standards get along with one another and my two silkies get along with one another), so it could work! However, two roosters can over-breed hens. It is hard to choose, so I hope you can keep them both.
