Oh no let the roaches in the coop! That is the ultimate roach motel They get in and they will not come out!
You do have other options than building on to the coop. Like if you were to sew up some Chicken diapers they could just live in the house. I have 5 children 4 are grown and moved out now I miss the chaos sometimes :/ . We have always had pets in the house, However I Have not managed to convince DH that laying hens could live happily with the cats but I am still working on it.

Have fun all is fair here Chickens dogs cats Children ....

I've had a long talk with my girls about eating all of them. Fingers crossed.

Chaos is putting it mildly. Their ages are 11,10,8,7,3,2, & 2. I feel like a zombie most days. but, apparently I love it because I keep adding more to the mix!!

Be glad you don't live in Hawaii then. ) We have loads of cockroaches out here that are 2 inches long. The pic below is one of our Hawaiian cockroaches. We commonly call them B-52s (a reference to the huge bomber plane).

I bet it is not! I have seen things like that in pet stores. who would want a pet like that I do not know! But for sure not me!

Me either kinda takes it out as a vacation destination as well. I dont want to go anywhere where the bugs are bigger than my feet!

Nope, not photoshopped. It's the real thing. That particular photo is from an article on Hawaii called Hummingbirds and Pineapples at https://withinthekstreets.wordpress.com/2014/10/23/hummingbirds-and-pineapples/. I see cockroaches just like that one everyday as I walk around on the grounds around our house.
