hi new to the site.

I added raising chickens to our organic farming this year and have borrowed heavily from the excellent advice on building coops on this site, so I would like to give back by posting some of my finished product pics as well as lessons learned...at the hand of foxes and weasels in the area.

Our four sex-linked, BR, RIR, Amerucanas are all free ranging ( when we are home or supervised by our vigilant border collie). I find it amazing that they will not touch any ripe vegetables in the garden but will demolish whole bushes of raspberries.

More to come

Chickens can be as picky as humans. The berries are probably like candy to them. Healthy stuff like veggies wouldn't attract me either.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Sounds like you have a nice flock. I'm glad your border collie protects them while the free range. That's always nice.
