Whether you're new to poultry or an experienced poultry-keeper, the Learning Center is a good place to start. There are a lot of very good articles there on chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, etc.
If you have questions, don't overlook the Search feature that's available on every page (upper left, under the logo). Of course, asking questions is always fine too. There's a ton of information here and a lot of friendly, helpful members.
My name is Myles I started keeping chicken's 5 years ago, with my mom and two young sisters in California. we started with the rare breed mix from mcmurry hatchery.
from there I had to do research on all the breeds to find out what I had.
as they got older I fell in love with the cochins not just there awesome looks but how calm and cool thery were compared to the other breeds, then you consider there versatility they are good egg layers and meat birds.
so we decided to only raise Cochins.
Time went on things happened, I could not handle the oppressive state of CA, beautiful as it is. So I moved to Oklahoma, I started a new flock from mcmurray jan. 2014 and now I have 32 Cochins. Black, Blue, Buff, white and some black/buff chicks.
Sorry Myles, I've never tried with a phone. Try making a few other posts before trying as I believe the administrators sometimes block photos in the first few posts to try and dissuade spammers.
