Hi everyone!

I'm new to BYC! I started with my flock in Jan and have 6 chickens currently and one who just hatched this morning! So excited to be part of this group and hear all your great advice!

Any suggestions on how the best way to introduce my new chicks to my 12 week old pullets? I know I don't need to worry now but I want to be prepared!

Thanks in advance! Picture for cuteness.

Thank you for joining us at Backyard chickens. 12 weeks old chicks are MUCH bigger than newborns, so it would be quite awhile before you can integrate them to your littles. There are several methods of integration but, I think the "look but don't touch," method is a kinder, gentler approach. You can find that by putting it in the search box above.

Welcome and Congratulations!

You might want to also pop in and say hello on your local thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you ‘Find your State’s thread.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
