Hi all, just introducing myself here! So glad to be part of this community.....I don't have chickens yet as I'm still working on the coop and run. I hope to get two Black Australorpes and two others in the spring. Does anyone know if there are any breeds that DON'T get along? I live in CT, USA, and am looking at laying breeds. Thanks!

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

So glad you decided to join us! Australorps are super friendly birds, as are Buff Orpingtons and Wyandotts. Its not that different breeds dont get along but rather some are more aggressive, others are more shy and timid. I am a huge fan of the breeds I just mentioned, great layers, hardy and a friendly affectionate breed.

Good luck and welcome to our roost! :)

Hiya:frow
Nice to meet you!
I have great egg layers. Leghorns and Red sexlink.
My RSL started laying @ 16 weeks and as of this post she has not missed a day. Beautiful rich brown colored eggs. I love leghorns tuff athletic smaller hens that lay XLG eggs. Can’t go wrong with either of these two!
Enjoy your chickens !!!:welcome

Welcome. My rule of thumb has always keeping birds of similar size together rather than worrying about which breeds are too temperamental.;)
Thank you for joining the site and taking a moment to introduce yourself. :)
