Did the fox attack when they were free ranging or in their coop at night?

Not sure, the coop was open as we left during the day but did not return till dark. I put all of the details on the forum.

Welcome Sorry for your losses to predator! Good info on predator proofing in articles. Free ranging comes with risks, you may have to think about limiting free ranging to times when someone is around (still no guarantee predators will not try/succeed) and fixing a run up that keeps predators out.
