Good morning everyone! After being addicted to reading posts on this site I joined this morning!!
I can't even begin to tally up the hours I have spent reading on here! I have been into chickens for almost a year, it all started with getting my children 4 Rhode Island Reds last April from our local harware store. From there it has grown to 10 chickens, 2 ducks and 7 gunieas. We have puchased all of our chickens either at day old status or just a little older, so we have watched them grow. Even our 2 roosters were raised together until we seperated them and gave them each their own set of ladies!
Anyhow, my first round of incubating went well. So far out of 14 eggs sat, 10 were fertile and we have 6 hatched and healthy, this morning 1 was still making it's way out. Today is day 22, so what's not hatched by tonight I will throw out.
Again, I spend lots of time on here reading and looking for answers, so thanks to you all and I look forward to being involved with BYC!!!
