A friend and I were talking yesterday about how some retirees are bored, can't find anything to do. I think you have found the perfect solution with chickens! Especially chickens up north where -- no matter how cold and unwelcoming the winter day is -- you will get up, venture out and care for your flock, likely several times a day. Same thing in the summer, when lazing on the sofa is appealing, but you need to make sure everyone has fresh, cool water. Plus, there's the inherent entertainment value of chickens -- better than most TV,
