New to BYC

Hi, just starting a new small farm. Started with the chickens first. Recently bought 3 chicks, 1 silkie, 1 "supposed" to be RIR, and 1 EE...but I think I have 2 EE's. Hopefully I chose right and got 3 females. Fingers crossed . But time will tell... I waited a couple weeks and got 3 more chicks, all EE's...hopefully again all 3 females. But again, time will tell.

If anyone can tell the difference...please clue me in..

#2 RIR? EE? hen?
#3 Same chick as #2
#4 EE? hen?
#5 Same chick as #4
They are 5 weeks old, give or take a day or 2...

#6 EE..hen? Too young to tell.
#7 EE..hen? Too young to tell.
#8 EE..hen? Too young to tell.
#9 Same chick as #8.
They are around 2 weeks old, give or take a day or 2.

Silkies are hard to sex, you may have to wait until he or she lays or crows. Once your others are around 6-8 weeks old, it will be easier to tell what you have for sure.

If my silkie turns out to be a roo, that's fine...I'll just have to his name from Ethel to Fred.
