Hi, welcome to BYC!
I don't think a hatchery brahma will be too large for your flock. They aren't generally as large, as breeder stock.
If you decide to keep him, be prepared to house him separately, but where the hens can see him. Cockerels are often a little rough when they start to come of age.
I have a couple of big boys. They are pretty gentle with my girls, even the very small ones.

Thanks for the advice! This will be our first rooster, I've read they can be a little rough. Figured we could try, maybe get some saddles if the girls need it, and separate him a little if needed. Glad to know that he'll be potentially be not as large as expected!
