Hi cinderberry here. New to BYC, in fact new to any forum or online discussion, so not to sure I'm doing this right! Anyway, my flock right now consists of (9) 2 year old hens, (3) 4 month old pullets, (2) 2 month old chicks/pullets, not sure when they go from chick to pullet? I lost my rooster to predator attack last week. My girls are a marran (?spelling) mix. I have had 3 different roosters. Like the 3 bears.... one too aggressive to me, one too aggressive to my girls, and #3 was just right. He is the one l just lost. My question to the group is: with mature girls, teenagers and toddlers.... what age rooster am I most likely to have peaceful integration. Any input is greatly appreciated.
