New to BYC

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to hang out and explore.
Sorry you lost the best one. Your right about marans, french breed.
Might be able to work the agressive to you but hurt the girls no way JMHO.
Hey PennyJo, thanks for hey you! We are not to far from you, we are in Shelton. I think this is going to be fun.

Hi cinderberry here. New to BYC, in fact new to any forum or online discussion, so not to sure I'm doing this right!
Welcome to BYC!! Don’t worry, you’ve posted correctly here. :)
Anyway, my flock right now consists of (9) 2 year old hens, (3) 4 month old pullets, (2) 2 month old chicks/pullets, not sure when they go from chick to pullet? I lost my rooster to predator attack last week. My girls are a marran (?spelling) mix.
Do you have any pics to share? (Maran)
I have had 3 different roosters. Like the 3 bears.... one too aggressive to me, one too aggressive to my girls, and #3 was just right. He is the one l just lost. My question to the group is: with mature girls, teenagers and toddlers.... what age rooster am I most likely to have peaceful integration. Any input is greatly appreciated.
I think that a teenage cockerel would integrate best. In between the age of your oldest and your youngest pullets.

Tookie, thanks so much, that would probably just what I am looking for, but I am in Washington State, in Shelton. I don't believe shipping is viable?
Your welcome!
Are you talking about my signature for my cockerels? My signature is underneath every post I make and is not directly for you. I'm not sure I could ship cockerels, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. Look underneath everyone else's posts that commented to this thread, see the different things people wrote on their signature?
