:D New to BYC! 51 this year! My kids tell me it's all downhill from here lol, but that could just mean it only get easier right? I mean it's always easier going down a hill than up LOL I am looking forward to hearing about new/old/better ways to keep my cheeps happy and healthy. I moved to NC about 2 1/2 years ago, to a good size piece of land and decided I wanted chickens to be a part of my life again! We always had chickens around when I was younger, I was just never part of the hatching process! Now, I am incubating Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, and one Bourbon Red Turkey (absolutely LOVE turkeys). I am debating on guineas... We have a plethora of raccoons here, and a hawk nest at the lake about 1/4 mile from the house... (Any suggestions on how to get them to move would be awesome lol). I have 2 dogs (lab husky mix Charlie and an elderly fox hound mix Rosie) probably 6 too many cats, and 2 sulcata tortoises. I just love them all. I am an outside person, I love to fish, boat and garden. Many years ago, my kids (both grown now) talked me into getting a turkey from TSC, that silly bird became my heart. Any time he heard my door open, or even my car come down the drive he came running for a hug, and I miss that! I am looking forward to the experience of hatching! It is all very daunting right now, especially not knowing if I'm going at it all wrong till I candle, and even then... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate. I look forward to hearing all of your experience, and experiences!
