soooo thankful for this website and forum- you all are full of information. My son, 16 years old, brought home 6 chicks at the grand opening of Tractor Supply locally, Montg. AL. around Easter. The life with chickens began. We have survived 2 stray dog attacks, which killed all our chickens, but now have a fort for a chicken coop. presently have 3 marans, with no egg to show for it i might add. live on 7 acres in the country. love the garden, the tractor, the space and wonder why we havent had chickens before.
