Hello...
I came upon my love for chickens by accident when my son showed up with a WLH hen needing TLC. Soon I found myself making several trips daily out to check on "Lucki". She seemed to have herself a personality I thought as I drew up a chair to sit and watch. Soon this led to sharing my lunch with her & by now she seems to be studying me? Lucki has a lot more going on for her than I ever would have expected. I began to read up on chicken's and now I am hooked just Crazy for Chickens!
Often I get strange looks when I share a cute Lucki story & realize most people look at chickens as dinner not as the quirky, inquisitive enjoyable pets they are.
So here I am happy to be one of the BYC members. And I must add my thanks for the valuable information I have learned from you all which has helped greatly in caring for Lucki, building the coop & picking out Lucki's new coop mates Daisy & Emma.
