Hey everyone first time here and am really excited to share this experience with other people like me who love their feathered friends. Patiently awaiting my chicks due to come in the 25th of May so none yet. It's my first time ordering for raising our own chickens since high school. I have 6 Amerucauna and 6 New Hampshire Red pullets plus one NHR rooster coming in. I was hoping to order a few Bourbon Red turkeys as well but no luck. I'm mommy to one son my new aspiring 4-H er, 2 Mini-rex, a Dutch and a Californian as well as 2 crested geckos and a ball python. Yeah I know bit of an odd mix but it will only get weirder planning on adding a few goats later this year and more rabbits. Anyone out there raise New Hampshire reds with any advice? I've raised Amerucaunas before alongside show stock had them free range for the most part but always made sure they had feed so they would stop stealing from the goats. Funniest thing ever to watch a broody hen chase a 200 lb goat away from her nest because she decided she wanted to lay in their feed bucket.
